Mission Underground

Working in the underground infrastructure sector

Cables and pipes are indispensable; you are indispensable.

For the fourth year running, the Grond’g Foundation, in collaboration with its partners, network operators and contractors, is organising Mission Underground during the Infra Relatiedagen trade fair at the Evenementenhal Hardenberg. This impressive 600-square-metre space will host demonstrations, speed dating sessions, job vacancies and various networking opportunities. Through Mission Underground, the Grond’g Foundation and its partners aim to raise the profile of the sector in a positive light and encourage new entrants to the field of underground infrastructure, with the aim of inspiring talented individuals and helping them transition into a career within this industry after completing their training.

School registration

VMBO, MBO and HBO students are warmly invited to take part in an educational excursion to Mission Underground at the Infra Relatiedagen, which will take place on 16, 17 and 18 February 2027 at Evenementenhal Hardenberg. This unique opportunity enables pupils, accompanied by their teachers, to experience the underground infrastructure sector at first hand and to learn about future career opportunities within this field. Coach transport to the venue will be provided for participating schools. Schools interested in this opportunity will soon be able to register via our website. Be sure to register quickly, as places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

To ensure there is enough space for everyone to take part in the interactive sessions, we have set a maximum capacity per half-hour. If your preferred arrival time is no longer available, please contact Joanneke Buizer on 06 5162 2306.
Mission Underground is expected to last between 45 minutes and 1 hour. Afterwards, you can also visit Infra Relatiedagen, featuring no fewer than 7 halls full of interesting stands and activities. PLEASE NOTE: Infra Relatiedagen do not open until 1.00 pm.
